Some favorite directing credits include: Godspell, Jake’s Women, The Last Five Years, Oliver!, Speak Truth To Power, This is What They Tell Me, Assassins, The Little Mermaid, Cinderella, The Day It Rained Forever, Willy Wonka. I'm passionate about servant leadership, cultivating collaborative environments for creative artists to express themselves through the text and discover what the moment wants beat by beat. I'm an actor's director with an obsession with tech elements storytelling. Having worked as a production manager and artistic director, I'm passionate about the collaboration across departments, and empowering others to do their best work so we can collectively serve the story and our audience.

I use a range of acting techniques including Viewpoints, Meisner, Stanislavski, Utah Hagen, and Chekhov to communicate with actors of all ages. I seek to create a culture where all voices are heard and we can get behind a common vision of how to bring the text to life. I'm passionate about collaboration and getting out of the way of the text and others' artistry. I direct classical to contemporary theater and musicals. I devise work, write material, and stage heightened text, contemporary drama, comedies, musicals, movement, and unarmed/broadsword/rapier fights. I try to find a measure of hope in every story.

My relationship with directing started when I was studying leadership while earning my BFA in Music Theater at Elon University. By the time I graduated I had directed five large scale productions on the MainStage, revived the student-works movement at school, adapted and directed a new play with the human rights course and theater department, taken the directing and design majors curriculum, wrote my senior thesis on directing and making your own work, and booked a gig as an assistant director to a professional residency theater company in upstate NY where they'd let me direct my own works for the EMC company members. Directing felt like a natural fit. It was the position where I could use all of my interests/experience including my work as a performer, teacher, stage manager, playwright/adaptor, fight choreographer, scenic designer and dramaturg.
